CITV - March to April 2024 Construction Update
Delray Beach Townhomes - Two Stories Built, Only One More Story To Go!
Lots to show you this month: form boards being fabricated on site to hold the concrete and rebar for the second-floor tie beams that support the building horizontal & vertical supports for the building structure. We watch the delicate operation of pouring concrete into the forms. View the theatrical but critical process of maneuvering 7,000 LB support steel beams through the air and placing them strategically around the structure, a highly technical procedure that Chris Stenton, the Site Supervisor, narrates. Watch the hollow core lift as 4ft wide, 15ft long, 12inch thick slabs of concrete weighing 5000 LB each are ever so gracefully pirouetted through the sky by a tower crane and then placed precisely as delegated by the structural plans. Finally, a bird's eye view of the concrete topper application to the newly placed hollow core slabs.
